"The Bends" - Radiohead "Chasing Amy" Hottie of the Week Eliza Dushku
|
3.10.04:: [mood: Surprisingly upbeat.]
Hey. I know, it's been awhile. I'm probably talking to myself. That's alright though.
So I have to go pick up my sister and my youngest nephew tomorrow. She's staying for 2 weeks. You
may want to stick a fork in my eyes and cook me. Nah, it may be cool. It depends if it's
"cool sister" mood, or "bratty selflish sister" mood. It swings at any moment.
My shoulder has been screwed up all week long, and it just feels like it's getting worse and
worse. There's really nothing I can do about it at this time. Maybe a clinic, but I hate
those places, and I rarely go to a doctor.
My CD of the moment is "The Bends" by Radiohead. It's not their greatest album ever, but they're so
hard to judge...maybe it is their greatest ever. I don't know. I love all of them. Anyway,
I just started strumming "Fake Plastic Trees" on my guitar, so I felt it appropriate to give
this one the nod. Not only does this have FPT on it, it also has "High & Dry" and "Just". It's
truely a landmark album.
My DVD of the moment is "Chasing Amy"....written and directed by Kevin Smith (aka - the VP
of cool..if you have to ask, Joss Whedon is the President). This is probably my 2nd favorite
in the Askewniverse series. Although, just like with Radiohead, my tastes change every so often
and it becomes my first or 3rd....all of his flicks are awesome. Anyway, there ya go.
The Gratuitous Hottie of the Week is Eliza Dushku. She's a bad ass with "bite-your-lip" body. I wish
I had started watching Tru Calling from the start. I don't know if I want to start in the
middle.

2.02.04:: [mood: post-update depression or PUD.]
So one of my friends wanted to come down from Ohio to see me today and tomorrow, but instead I have to work. It really sucks,
considering I work for my old man, and he could easily say "take Tuesday off, son". But he won't, because he absolutely hates doing
the job by himself. Ugh.
Eric is doing taxes. HAHA! Have fun, buddy!
I rented "Once Upon A Time in Mexico" over the weekend and didn't even watch it. I just couldn't get myself in that mood. Oh well, I'm pretty
sure I didn't miss much. Maybe I'll wait until it's on one of the 50 friggin' movie channels that show the same films over and over again.
-> New feature with every blog update....CELEBS THAT PISS ME OFF.

1.31.04:: [mood: insomnia-ridden]
I FINALLY UPDATED!
I really, really, really want to move back to Ohio, but I'm not sure it's possible. I hate living in this state. All of my friends are in Ohio,
my home is Ohio. It just pisses me off that I have to be here.
I'm tired of spike fans who have nothing unique to say. This has been expressed many times on the HMC board. I really don't need
to go back to it here.
New stuff - CD of the moment, DVD of the moment....and Katherine Heigl is the Hottie of the Week! *meow*
I had to go with Brand New's "Deja Entendu" as my CD this time, because I have listened to that album front to back about 12 times
this week alone. I'm obsessed with it.
"To Kill A Mockingbird" is now available on DVD. Go buy it. Atticus Finch is one of the most heroic fictional characters ever created. Gregory Peck
rules (or rather, ruled). Check out a young Robert Duvall as Boo Friggin' Radley!
Snoogins.

10.14.03:: [mood: still waking up]
Stuff and what-not was updated this morning, as I slowly try to wake up. My stupid internet
connection was dead for about 90 minutes, so I whined a bit and drank some coffee.
I put "songs" up instead of bands, because its easier to tell you which songs I currently
am digging. And yes, that is Michelle Branch up there. I can't help it. Her new one is addictive.
Saw "The Italian Job" over the weekend on DVD. It was pretty good. I don't like the cheery
ending during the credits, but the rest was a fun thief flick.
Jessica Alba is this week's hottie. I miss "Dark Angel".
Later.
